Blocks aren't for beginners. They're for everyone.
The most flexible people in the room use blocks more than anyone.
There's a myth: if you use blocks, you're not good enough. It's backwards. The advanced practitioners use blocks to go deeper, not to compensate.
Why cork
Cork is dense. It doesn't compress under your weight. Foam blocks squish — that instability makes the pose harder, not easier. Cork holds steady.

Three ways to use them
Height: Put a block under your hand in a forward fold. Your hand reaches the floor — your hamstrings get the stretch.
Support: Lie a block on its side under your sacrum in bridge pose. Your hips relax into the support.
Pressure: Squeeze a block between your thighs in warrior pose. It activates your inner thighs.
